Meet TS and Come See the Rest of the Garden...

Thank you!!

I recently commented on Southern Meadow's blog that I loved the idea she was following of creating a daily post of something we are thankful for, but that I wasn't sure I had time. My middle school is overcrowded and I have more students than I have ever had. When I catch up on my grading and school work, I fall behind on life. But when I catch up on life, I fall behind on work. I can't find any balance.

Originally proposed by Cat at the Whimsical Gardener, the challenge is to create a post a day that shows what we are thankful for. Simply said, I am thankful for all of you and your incredible blogs. You remind me to slow down, find peace, and remind myself that balance isn't a luxury but a necessity.

  2. We're thankful for you, too! Thanks for your wonderful sense of humor. Your students are so fortunate. I know what you mean about finding balance. Sometimes I think I've found it and then things get crazy again. So I visit wonderful blogs like yours and I'm happy again!

  3. That's very nice of you....but seriously....reading a person's blog brings me a little smile and gets me through my day. I hear you on the teaching....I remember 16 years ago when I first started....and so much has changed....I now have two classes with 40 kids each.....crazy stuff. Somehow I leave my work at work....and forget about it when I come home. However, I do get up early for coffee and some lesson planning instead of staying after school.

  4. Balance...that is a tough thing to find in our busy lives. I struggle with it everyday. One of the reasons why I thought this 30 day Challenge was a great idea. It causes one to take a break and really appreciate the small things that get forgotten or passed over sometimes. Thanks so much for the mention. I am so thankful to know you through your blog and your wonderful sense of humor, writing and photography! Your students are lucky to have you as a teacher! You are so dedicated, caring and such an inspiration. And, I love your doggies! xx!

  10. More thanks, Tammy, for the agastache ID. AVA would be a welcome addition to the bee beds. :-D I have so much blue (and they love it) and lots of red, but that nice deep pink wouldn't be amiss Hmmm, does it happen to ... seed? ;-D
