Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

Take one metal fruit bowl,

add a second metal fruit bowl,

a coco fiber mat and some potting soil,

and some heat loving plants, such as portulaca and hens and chicks,

and you end up with a drought resistant planter!

  2. Great idea! I love clever re-purposing of materials, but I never have the imagination for them.

  5. Great re-purposing - planters that don't need daily watering are the best!

I would never have been creative enough to have thought to repurpose these wire baskets in this way. Very pretty!

  7. Fantastic idea. I really like the portulaca, it covers the container beautifully.

  8. That's really a great idea. My garden is a bit sparse as well as I try to figure out what to do now to fix it up....I think after this year of extremes, everyone is suffering this summer.
