Don't tell the columbine
but her petals should be folded
tucked deep inside a memory
Ephemeral

Flung open like doors
sunshine cupped and spilling
to the patio below

    My forsythia is blooming now....typical behavior when a plant is stressed from drought or heat. Love that beautiful columbine!
