Maybe you need to come down with the 24 hour garden virus. :-P It's very rare and only gardeners get it! ......I have to share this with you....as I'm typing this in the office I keep hearing a "thump" sound. I finally got up to see what it is and it's a female Cardinal that's coming to the kitchen window. First Bluebirds and now a Cardinal...what's going on???
Oh Tammy, you should use a sick leave day! Mental health is very important! I feel your pain as yesterday we started school again after spring break. Like you, I enjoy my work but it's always tempting to stay home or dream about being in one of your pictures!
Don't you wish you could live without sleep? Then we could work for a few hours and spend the majority of our time visiting places we love... never mind, it will soon be the weekend.... just over half a week to go....
All day yesterday, all I could think about was going home and digging in the dirt. Today, all I can think about is grabbing the Metro home and sitting in the dirt weeding. Mulch Boy is pining to get home and mulch. SIGH.
How beautiful! I've never seen a field of bluebells in person, but it looks quite magical. I would love to be there, too! But, yes, spring comes and we gardeners get spring fever. My husband asks me occasionally if I want to go on a vacation, but honestly, I'd rather just stay in the garden!
Where is that second picture? I must know. The field of Virginia Bluebells is amazing. We used to see the most beautiful bluebells when we lived in western PA.
I have to be out of town for my job this week Monday through Friday, and not in any place like you're showing up there. I would just like to be home right now.
I run my business from my home office and it is so tempting to work out in the garden or greenhouse on these beautiful days. Today I took the ipad and cell phone into the greenhouse, which sort of defeats the purpose, but at least I was able to answer client questions and give the illusion that I was actually working. (Shhh...don't tell my clients) I just couldn't waste this beautiful day being stuck inside.
Yes, I agree with all the others. I was glad to get out of the Midwest at the end of March. But now all I want is normal weather in my own garden. Like, regular spring weather. So cold lately, I'm spending lots of quality time dreaming about gardens inside. :(
I feel that pain. There are so many garden chores that need doing right now but the weather won't cooperate and there's that 9 to 5 thing that I'm supposed to do...
maybe we could be like Alice in Wonderland, go through the frame into the pictures for a little visit ... then get back to work! but seriously, like several people above have suggested - taking occasional "mental health days" off work is very important, I think.
Some days we would rather be anywhere but there--work. You picked some very nice "theres." Your seedlings look pretty healthy and strong. Our tomatoes look rather pathetic. They grew nice and strong and tall, but due the lack of attention they got too much light and turned yellow, but I think that they will snap out of it--I hope.
I feel like that most days, especially when the weather is nice! I want to be gardening, not sat in front of a computer staring at a screen all day. I have started transporting plants to work though. There are now four orchids around my desk and I've plants to bring in more too. Bring the garden to work, I say!
I have a ton of work to be done today, so I have to be HERE.
ReplyDeleteYour photos did give me a minute of respite though....thanks.
Me too! What a perfect day to use the "get out of jail free" card.
ReplyDeleteDon't blame you. We are finally getting some nice Spring days.

ReplyDeleteThere were days, when driving to work, I wanted so badly to turn the car around and go home.
ReplyDeleteWhen you retire you can spend your nights performing the Cancan at the Moulin Rouge and recovering on the beach by day...

ReplyDeleteWhoa! You're near bluebells, and you don't even live in Texas.
ReplyDeleteNot to rub it in – what the hell; yes it is – when you become a pension-eer you can do everything. Even nothing.

ReplyDeleteCan I join you! All of those places are just so beautiful! That field near your house is just stunning!

ReplyDeleteAll lovely places to spend some time, but your Mertensia field is most beautiful!

ReplyDeleteYes any of those would do very nicely thank you.

ReplyDeleteTammy, you're tired as we,all teachers at the end of educational year. Take a break, lie on the sofa or in deck chair and rest, rest..
ReplyDeleteAny of those places would be fantastic but to be in a field of VA bluebells is just fabulous!

ReplyDeleteHow about a field of blue, blue flowers within hearing range of a beautiful mountain stream? That would be perfection too.

ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't rather be in the midst of all those lovely blue harbingers of Spring!
ReplyDelete** Deep sigh ** Any and all - or just an extra day off to dream of good Spring weather!
