Nameless
Grocery store rose
Dusty decoration
expected to die
Sweet peach blooms
burst forth instead
This rose was a gift from a friend. It came with no information about how large it will be. It didn't even have a name. Just a tag that said Rose.
I potted it up and added it to the container garden on my patio steps. It has five buds waiting to open.
It helps disguise the concrete blocks I use to give my pots different heights. The steps aren't wide enough to accommodate wide pots, so I use the blocks as extenders.
Delikata i w ładnym kolorze jest miniaturowa różyczka. Doniczki ustawione, tak jak zrobiłeś ładnie tak wyglądają. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteDelicate and beautiful color is a miniature rubella. Pots arranged as nicely done as they look. Yours.
I love the surprises --- the no-name or passalong plants that defy all expectations. Nice.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty that is. Love the color of it.

That's a beauty! I love the color and the fullness of it. You are very creative with your potted garden. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty rose and it looks so healthy. And what a clever way to extend your steps. A very nice display!
ReplyDeleteLove your container garden! Such a pretty rose to add to your collection and best of all it is from a friend!
ReplyDeleteA poet and a gardener! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love roses those are as you said: "expected to die". They have an enormous energy to survive!
ReplyDeleteWithout a name of its own you can call it whatever you like - what a special bonus.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little rose. I think that its healthy disposition says something about its skilled caretaker! I love how you have everything arranged on your steps. Lots of interesting things to see.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Not knowing exactly what it is adds to its charm and mystery. I love how you set up your pots :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of pots and plants. That sweet rose is just lovely, who needs some fancy label when you look so good.
ReplyDeleteGosh I am loving the way you have everything potted and displayed, stunning. That rose is a wonderful color, I am determined to add more roses and am hoping to find some stunning colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful stair-top garden! Isn't it always the no-name, no-fuss flowers that outperform the pricey, well-fertilized darlings?
ReplyDeleteIt may not have a name, but at least they got the tag right. And it looks a really nice rose too, whatever its name is.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your mystery rose. What a nice gift.
ReplyDeleteWell Nameless Rose is beautiful! Love the color, and looks like it's doing well where you put it. I love how the most simple, often generic-sounding, plants tend to do best in the garden. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a similar orange grocery store rose that comes back every year without fail. It make be humble nameless rose, but it sure has spunk and determination.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty rose, but I bet you keep it going and healthy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteA rose with no name looks just as sweet.
